lyrics
Paroles :
Lyrics :
I have to tell you a story, so listen to this :
The story of a crew that will end cursed.
It occurs on an island not far from Tortuga
And this story begins with a rum tour.
In a corner of the tavern an old man sitting at a table
Humbly enjoyed his arranged rum.
One just had to sit down and paid him for a drink
So that he tells us the legends of the seven seas.
Tonight let's toast my brothers
Some wine and some Rum !
Tomorrow we will sail away
On board the Gloria !
It ‘s said that in a cave rots an old treasure
Which has not seen the light since Teach died.
This old sea dog who looted a lot of ships
Used to sayed that only the devil knew where the stash is.
But the old sailor tasting my tour
Took from his frock coat an old damaged card,
Saying that this wonder would show me the way
Of the place where Blackbeard had put his booty.
I went to recruit a famous crew :
A band of scoundrels who stands at the rail,
Real runners of the seas who are not afraid of death,
Then also sailors who never have remorse.
The anchor being ascended, we departed towards this island,
Head full of dreams believing in this idyll :
That we would find the treasure he wanted to hide,
Filled with pieces of eight and jewels by thousands.
We accosted in vain on the sandy beach,
Assiduously seeking the buccaneer's cave.
We finally found it in a corner of the islet
And we put our hands on the sailor's spoils.
However, there was nothing in the bottom chest,:
Only a parchment with a curse :
Whoever enters the ruffian's cave
Will sail without future on all oceans.
Eternity at sea
Now give us its arms,
For a life of misery
On board the Gloria !
